ITINERARY

Day 01:   South Bali – Ubud [-/L/-]

Depart from your hotel and first stop in the village of Batubulan, famous on the island for its stone carvers. Continue to Batuan, the village of arts, crafts, legends and tales. Visit the main temple and take a walk through the village. Proceed to Ubud for lunch. In the afternoon follows a visit to the Agung Rai Museum of Art and the 11th Century Gunung Kawi temple, “the mountain of the poet”.

Day 02:   Ubud – Candidasa [B/L/-]

Check out from YOUR Hotel in Ubud to continue the trip to the eastern coast of Bali with some visits made on the way, first visit will be at Goa Gajah, the Elephant Cave, the ancient heritage of Hindu & Buddhist priest, then we drive up via Bangli to the slope of mount Agung to visit the Besakih Temple, known as the mother temple of Bali. While enjoying the rice field view, Lunch will be served at local Restaurants. Proceed to the east and pass through Salak plantation in Sibetan village then visit Tenganan, an original Bali Aga Village, and strong hold of ancient traditions. Then check in at the hotel in Candidasa.

Day 03:   Candidasa – Gili Trawangan  [B/-/-]

We pick you up from the hotel for the transfer the Padang Bai harbor to catch morning Speedboat for embarkation to Gili Trawangan. Upon arrival at Gili Trawangan jetty, welcome service by Aston Sunset staff and then they will assist you for transfer to the hotel for check in. As the island free of cars, so you’ll be transferred to the hotel by local “Cidomo” (a traditional transportation horse cart), the only transport available in this Island. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 04: Gili Hoping Islands – Lombok [B/L/-]

Breakfast at hotel. You will be picked up by our Asian Explore guide with Local wooden Boat and start to explore Gili Islands with various marine tourism activities such as swimming and snorkeling. Lunch will be served at Local Restaurant in Villa Karang Gili Air and in the Afternoon continue the trip to Lombok main Island. On the way it is possible to drive through Pusuk Rainforest with scenic view  of beautiful valleys and encounter monkeys along the side of the road.  then visit Sesela art market to see Cukli handicrafts (wood carvings, rattan) and continue drive to your Hotel.

Day 05: North Lombok Waterfalls [B/L/-]

Embark on a full-day visit to two legendary waterfalls in Lombok. Your dedicated guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby at 08:30hrs. Enjoy a scenic drive along the west coast of Lombok towards Senaru, a small, rustic village nestled bewtween the base of Mount Rinjani and the edge of the jungle.  From your hotel in Senggigi, it is a 20-minute drive to Malimbu Hill, where you can opt for a photo stop at Nipah beach, with picturesque hills and valleys as the background. Another stop can also be made to experience the hustle and bustle at the biggest market in the area, Tanjung morning market.

Considered to be the key gateway village to a challenging trek up Mount Rinjani, Senaru is approximately 400 metres above sea level, where the climate is cooler. Here you can enjoy natural treasures such as majestic ocean scenery in the west and a spectacular volcano peak to the south. An approximate 30-minute trek through the rainforest of Senaru, gets you to Tiu Kelep Waterfall. Visit also the nearby Sendang Gile waterfall. Situated about 600 metres above sea level, the waterfall is 31 metres in height and the refreshing water is believed to come from the ‘fountain of youth’ – anyone who bathes in the water will supposedly look one year younger than their real age. From the entrance, proceed on foot, then descend the 200 steps before crossing a bridge to finally arrive at the base of the waterfall. After getting refreshed at the waterfall, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, it is time to drive back to your hotel, with a last stop made on the way at Pusuk Pass for the magnificent scenery, refreshing mountain air and cheeky macaques.

Day 06: Sasak Village Tour [B/L/-]

Embark on a full day to discover the culture and traditions of indigenous Sasak tribes. Your dedicated guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby at 08:30hrs. Drive to Banyumulek – a village in West Lombok regency. Situated about 14 kilometres south of the capital city, Mataram; the village is known for its pottery industry. See a great array of pottery handicrafts which are made using traditional techniques and try making your own piece of pottery that you can bring home with you.

Another hands-on experience to follow; learn how to weave at Sukarare village, located south of Cakranegara on Jonggot district in the heart of Lombok. Known as the center of production for genuine traditional hand-woven fabric from the Sasak tribe, here at the village, weaving is obligatory and part of daily activity for the Sasak women. Get to know more of the making process of Sasak traditional woven fabric, which involves age-old traditions that have been handed down through generations. Get a better understanding on how the techniques, patterns and motifs have evolved over time to create each individual masterpiece.

Get a glimpse of traditional Sasak life at Sade village and observe the unique house with alang-alang roof  built from a mixture of soil and cow dung. Proceed to drive southward to arrive at Kuta Beach and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at stunning Tanjung Aan beach situated on a bay near Kuta Beach. Transfer back to your hotel in Senggigi and the rest of the evening is free at your own leisure.

Day 07: Departure [B/-/-]

Morning is free at leisure until hotel check out time (note: hotel check out time policy is at 12:00 hr. Day use of the room until 18:00 o’clock is possible to arrange with supplement-but subject to availability). At the appropriate time we pick you up for departure transfer to the airport for your onward flight to your next destination.
