ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival Solo/Yogyakarta – Wonosobo [no meals]

Upon arrival at at Adi Soecipto International Airport in Yogyakarta, welcome and meet by our representative, direct transfer for 3 hours drive to Wonosobo and then proceed to your hotel for overnight. Upon arrival at at Adi Soemarmo International Airport in Solo, welcome and greetings by our representative then we will take you to Wonosobo via Selo – Boyolali, passing through Mt. Merapi and Mt. Merbabu valley with full of nice view. Some stops are possibility made. Latest arrival should not more than 2 PM.  Lunch and dinner at own arrangement

Day 02: Wonosobo – Yogyakarta [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning we drive to Dieng Plateau (about 04 hrs from Yogyakarta), to visit the oldest Hindus temple complex. Dieng Plateau is the largest highest land in Java, which lies at 2.093 meters above sea level. The temples, mostly built between the 8th and 9th centuries, covered the highland plain but with the mysterious depopulation of Central Java. Then we continue our visit to the beautiful Telaga Warna (colored lake), which has turquoise hues from bubbling sulphur deposits around its shores. From Telaga Warna Colour Lake, we continue to Sikidang Crater – a volcanic crater with steaming vents and frantically bubbling mud ponds. Then drive back to Wonosobo for lunch is at local restaurant. Afterwards we proceed to Borobudur temple the most spectacular and world’s biggest Buddhist monument Complex. It was built around 800 A.D. Looming out of a patchwork of bottle-green paddies and swaying palm tops, this colossal Buddhist relic is one of the continent’s marvels. After the decline of Buddhism and the shift of power to East Java, the monument was abandoned soon after its completion. For centuries the complex lay forgotten, buried under layers of volcanic ash. Climb up to the top and enjoy a wonderful view on the Menoreh mountains. Enough time is given to stroll around the complex and to discover its beauty. Then we drive back to your hotel in Yogyakarta for overnight. Dinner at own arrangement

Accommodation at JOGJAKARTA PLAZA (Deluxe Room) / THE PHOENIX HOTEL (Superior Room)

Day 03: Yogyakarta: Prambanan – City tour [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up from the hotel and drive to the Prambanan temple, the temple of the “slender virgin” which also known as complex of Lorojongrang, consist of 3 major temples/shrines in the main area dedicated to respected Hindu’s Tri Murti trinity such as Candi Shiva Mahadeva, Candi Brahma & Candi Vishnu. Enough time is given to stroll and observe the beautiful carvings and the neighborhood shrines such as Candi Plaosan and the Candi Sewu. Then proceed for short city tour in Yogya. Here we visit Sultan Palace Or ‘Kraton”, built in the grand and elegant Javanese architectural style, lies in the center of the municipality. It was built in 1790 by Sri Sultan HamengkubowonoI., which is also a model of traditional Javanese palace architecture. Up to now, Kraton still serves as the Sultan Palace.  (Kraton is open from 08.00 a.m. to 02.00 p.m. except Friday closes at 01.00 p.m. and closed on national and Kraton holidays).

Continue with visit to Affandi Museum. Affandi is a “legendary” famous painter in Indonesia. The museum which is placed at the west of the Gajah Wong river has its wide area for about 3500 are. This area consists of the museum itself and the building used to Affandi’s house. The unusual land surface gave an inspiration to Affandi to build unique building on it. The result is a unique integrated environment planned by him self, plus the legendary Affandi’s paintings inside.

Visit also made to Kotagede-Silverworks. Kota Gede has been famed as the hub of Yogyakarta’s silver industry since the 1930’s. But this quiet old town, which is now a suburb of Yogya, was the first capital of the Mataram Kingdom, found by Panembahan Senopati in 1582.

Day 04: Yogyakarta – Surabaya (Jombang / Mojokerto) by train – Tosari [B/L/-]   

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning after breakfast, start the day with scenic drive to East Java by Sancaka train to Jombang / Mojokerto (depart at 07:25 from Yogyakarta). Along the way you will discover picturesque landscape. Arrive in Jombang / Mojokerto train station; we continue drive by car to Tosari for 2 – 3 hours non stop drive. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. In the afternoon we arrive at your hotel for check in and overnight.  Dinner at own arrangement

Accommodation at BROMO COTTAGE (Standard Room) / JAVA BANANA (Deluxe Room)

Day 05: Mt. Bromo excursion – Ijen [B/L/D]

Very early morning (start at 04.00 a.m.) depart to Penanjakan, one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world.  Leaving the hotel by jeep then we reach Penanjakan witnessing the beautiful sun rise (if weather permit). Then the trip continues to cross the sand-sea to get to the feet of mount Bromo. (Please note the ideal time to visit Bromo is during the dry season, April to November. At any time of year its cold on these mountains and night temperatures can get down to around 2-5 Celsius). Then drive back to the hotel for breakfast. After refresh and short rest at hotel, we continue our trip to Ijen. We drive to Ijen Resort and Villas – your luxurious accommodation, perched at the edge of the rainforest in the foothills of the volcanoes. Lunch is at local restaurant en-route.

Dinner and accommodation at IJEN RESORT & VILLAS (Resort’s Deluxe-formerly Superior Room) / IJEN RESORT & VILLAS (Villas’s Deluxe-formerly Deluxe Room)

Day 06:  Ijen excursoin – Lovina [B/L/-]

05.00 a.m.      After an early wake-up call and breakfast, our vehicle carries you through the rural villages, coffee and clove plantations and then into one of Java’s last rainforests. Humidity, wildlife, giant ferns and big trees cover the slope of the mountain, to arrive at the Park Ranger’s post to begin the 90 minute hike to Ijen Crater, along a shady track with spectacular views. The stunning view is unveiled at 2883 meters altitude. The lake eerie color and smoke wafting from bright yellow sulfur deposits create the landscape desolate, barren and vibrantly alive. Watching  miners descend into the crater and re-emerge carrying up to 80 kilos of ore on bamboo basket along the treacherous path. Afterwards, walk down the mountain and we drive back to the hotel. (Please note this excursion not suitable for elderly clients and clients with walking difficulties). Arrive at hotel around 11:00 hr and then be prepare for continue the trip to  Lovina, Bali Island. We will pass Banyuwangi and then take public ferry via Ketapang Harbour. Afternoon arrive in Lovina Bali and drop of at your hotel.

Day 07 : Lovina Free at leisure

Optional dolphin watching trip at USD 15 net/person (min. 02 pax)

Early in the morning, you will start by boat for the Dolphin trip. There is no evidence that the dolphins are harmed by the attention, but there is some suggestion that boats have to travel further and further to see fewer dolphins. Afterwards back to the hotel for shower and breakfast.

Day 08: Lovina – Candidasa  [B/L/-]

09:00 hr        after breakfast, check out from the hotel and continue the trip to Candidasa. We drive via Sangsit Village and stop at Beji temple – a Subak temple, dedicated to the goddess Dewi Sri, who is looking after the Subak, irrigation rice fields system in Bali. Afterwards we continue to Kintamani for photo stop viewing and enjoy spectacular views of Mount Batur with its crate lake. Optional lunch (personal account) is at a local restaurant. Follow the rim of the crater, we continue drive and stop at Besakih Temple, known as the mother temple of Bali and located on the slopes of the holy Mount Agung. Then proceed to Candidasa via Putung village, another stunning rice field in this eastern tip of Bali.

 Day 09: Candidasa – Ubud [B/-/-]

Breakfast at hotel. 09:00 hr        check out the hotel then proceeds to Ubud with some visits. We drive via Klungkung and en-route we pass by Kusamba, a fishermen village that also engages in the salt making. The coastal road with full view to Nusa Penida will lead us to Goa Lawah (Bat Cave). This cave, whose walls vibrate with thousands of bats, is considered holy, and a temple and surrounding shrines protect the entrance. Our last stop would be at Kerta Gosa, or Hall of Justice, built in 18th century in Klungkung. It is beautifully laid out within a moat and provides an exquisite example of the Klungkung style of painting and architecture which can be seen in their ceiling murals.

Then drive up to Bangli, where we visit Penglipuran Village. It is a genuine Balinese village, located in Kubu village in Bangli district nearby the street connected to Kintamani. It has very unique culture characteristic, traditional countryside with a cool atmosphere. Penglipuran village is well known for its tidy row of traditional Balinese entrance gates and its unique architectural traditions. Last before check in at hotel, we stop at Mas Village – known with its collection of wood carving and handicraft. Afterwards proceed directly to the hotel in Ubud for check in and overnight.

Lunch and Dinner at own arrangement. Accommodation at the VILLA CHEMPAKA (Superior Bungalow) / PITA MAHA (Garden Villa)

 Day 10: Ubud –  South Bali     [B/L/-]

Breakfast at hotel.   Morning is free at leisure until check out time policy, OR you could explore Ubud village on your own. At the appropriate we pick you up for sightseeing transfer to you hotel in south of Bali (hotel is own arrangement). On the way to your hotel, some visit will be made. Stop at one of many painting galleries in Ubud, then on to Goa Gajah – the elephant cave and also to Celuk village – center of exquisite silver works. Afterwards we drop you off at your hotel in South Bali.
