Mount Batur Trekking Tour is part of our Bali Adventure Tours to hike Mount Batur, a small stratovolcano in north-central Bali. It has several craters, and is 1,717 m in height. Batur lies within a large caldera, the remains of a cataclysmic prehistoric eruption of a volcano that was once over 4,000 m in height. Batur remains active to this day and has erupted over 20 times in the last two centuries.
TREKKING PROGRAM
Mount Batur Trekking is part of our Bali adventure tours that proudly offer the sunrise on the top of mount Batur. our Bali tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to drive to the milder climate of 1200 meters above sea level. The Trekking itself begins with 2 hours trek to the top (1717 m) to enjoy the sunrise. From here you will have a magnificent view of the sunrise over the crater. We walk around the rim of the volcanic cone to see the crater of the last eruption. The last eruption of the Batur was in 1994 and the volcano is still active with smoke rising from its heart. Descending from the volcano you have to pass a sea of black sand. Breakfast will be served on top before returning to the hotel.
Note: Only recommended to participants in good physical condition, good walking shoes required.
