Java Bali Experience Tour

Java Bali Island Package tours to explore Java island from western part to the eastern and ending in Bali. After a quick visit to Jakarta (the capital city), Bandung is a welcoming site with its cool mountain air. Along the road to Wonosobo, the paddy fields cover the scenery, while the great mountains of Galunggung and Sawal, and break the horizon. Yogyakarta, at the center of the island, offers an abundance of culture. The Borobodur, is on the Unesco list of heritage. Mt. Bromo, impressive with its 10 km crater, and if weather permits, a stunning sunrise and  Ijen, shows of natures roughness and beauty. Both volcanoes offer magnificent craters. Bali is well known for its cooking, and as the islands of spices, Ubud teaches you about both.

ITINERARY

 Day 1:  Jakarta – Bandung  [-/L/-]

Pick up from the airport or hotel in Jakarta and depart to Bandung via Bogor Botanical Garden and Puncak Tea Plantation. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Puncak Pass. Continue to Bandung, arriving late afternoon.

Note: Due to the traffic from Jakarta to Bandung via Bogor during week end from Friday to Sunday starting 3 pm is really peak, we might skip this route and take the highway to reach Bandung. The Puncak Pass visit will then automatically drop.

Dinner at own arrangement. Accommodation at the SUKAJADI HOTEL 

Day 2:  Bandung  [B/L /-]

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast at hotel we have a full day exploring Sundanese cultural around Bandung commencing with a visit to Tangkuban Prahu crater followed with the visit to Ciater hot spring. Visit Lembang, local fruit market then continue to Padasuka village to enjoy the famous performance of traditional Angklung music using bamboo instrument.  Then afternoon return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free at your own leisure. Dinner at own arrangement. Accommodation at the SUKAJADI HOTEL 

Day 3:  Bandung – Kutoarjo – Wonosobo  [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel. Early breakfast at Hotel then check out for transfer to train station where you will board the train to Kutoarjo. Lunch box will be provided. Upon arrival in Kutoarjo, direct transfer to Wonosobo. Dinner at own arrangement. Accommodation at the KRESNA GALLERY WONOSOBO 

 Day 4:  Wonosobo – Dieng plateau – Borobudur – Yogyakarta  [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel. We drive in the morning to Dieng Plateau to visit the oldest Hindus temple complex. Dieng Plateau is the largest highest land in Java, which lies at 2.093 meters above sea level. Then we continue to the beautiful Telaga Warna (colored lake), which has turquoise hues from bubbling sulfur deposits around its shores. From Telaga Warna, it is one km along the main road to Candi Bima and another 1, 2 km to Sikidang Crater, a volcanic crater with steaming vents and frantically bubbling mud ponds.

After lunch at a local restaurant then proceed to visit Borobudur Temple, one of the world’s biggest Buddhist monument complexes known as the great architectural masterpieces, built in 800 AD. Enough time is given to stroll around the complex and to discover its beauty and visit nearby importance Pawon & Mendut Temples. Afterward drive to Yogyakarta then directly check in at the hotel for overnight. Dinner at own arrangement. Accommodation at JOGJAKARTA PLAZA 

Day 5:  Yogyakarta – Prambanan tour [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour to visit the Sultan Palace, located in the heart of the old city; the huge palace of the sultans of Yogyakarta was effectively the centre of a small walled city within the city. Over 25,000 people live within the greater Keraton compound, which contains its own market, shops, batik and silver cottage industries, schools and mosques. (Keraton is open from 08.00 a.m. to 02.00 p.m. except Friday closes at 01.00 p.m. and closed on national and keraton holidays). It was built in 1756 by Sri Sultan Hamengkubowono I., and is a model of traditional Javanese palace architecture. Up to now, the Keraton still serves as the Sultan Palace. By walking distance we will visit one of the most intriguing parts on the tour of the Keraton; Tamansari, literally it means “Fragrant garden”.

Afterwards we drive to the Prambanan village the temple of the “slender virgin” which also known as a complex of Lorojongrang, consist of 3 major temples/shrines in the main area dedicated to respected Hindu’s God Tri Murti trinity such as Candi Shiva Mahadeva, Candi Brahma & Candi Vishnu. Enough time is given to stroll and observe the beautiful carvings and the neighborhood shrines such as the Candi Palosan and the Candi Sewu. The Ramayana story is carved into the walls of the temples. Enough time is given to stroll around and to observe the beautiful carvings. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

 Day 6:  Yogyakarta – Jombang – Kediri [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out the hotel early morning to catch the morning train to Jombang, (Executive Class) departure at 07:30 from Yogyakarta train station. Lunch box will be served on the train. Direct transfer from Jombang to Kediri visit the old church near the town center dates back to the early 19th century. The church is half open and built in stone and wood. The unique roof reminds of the Batak houses in Northern Sumatra. Ride on tricycle “Becak” we explore the town and experience its charm first hand. Dinner at own arrangement. Accommodation at GRAND SURYA 

Day 7:  Kediri – Mt. Bromo  [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt. Bromo with a stop at Pasuruan to view its colorful fishing village and salt refinery. Lunch served at local restaurant. Arrive late afternoon in Tosari village. Dinner at own arrangement. Accommodation at the BROMO COTTAGES 

Day 8: Mt. Bromo – Ijen  [B/L/-]

 04:00 a.m     Very early morning depart to Penanjakan, witnessing the beautiful sun rise (if weather permit).  Then the trip continues to cross the sand-sea to reach the foot of the mount Bromo as the starting point to climb up the stair to the crater. The spectacular view of the range of volcanoes (Bromo, Batok and Semeru) is unveiled along with the rise of the morning sun.

(There is a possibility for elder people to ride on horse-back (pony ride) with supplement at around USD 10 to 15 net / person and to be paid on the spot)

Note: this morning trekking is not suitable for elderly clients and clients with walking difficulties.

(Please note the ideal time to visit Bromo is during the dry season, April to November. At any time of year its cold on these mountains and night temperatures can get down to around 2-5 Celsius.

(The Bromo Tengger National Park is a popular getaway destination for local tourists, so the platform on the peak of Mt. Penanjakan can be very busy during weekends and public holidays).

After breakfastand refreshment at hotel, we continue drive for 07-08 hours to Banyuwangi, through varied landscapes. Upon arrival proceed for check in at your hotel. Lunch at own arrangement. Dinner and Accommodation at KETAPANG INDAH

Day 09:  Ijen– Bali Munduk  [B/L/-]

After an early wake-up call (05.00 AM) and breakfast, a four-wheel drive vehicle carries you through the rural villages, coffee and clove plantations and then into one of Java’s last rainforest’s. Humidity, wildlife, giant ferns and big trees cover the slope of the mountain, to arrive at the Park Ranger’s post to begin the 90 minutes hike to the rim of IjenCrater, along a shady track with spectacular views. The stunning view is unveiled at 2883 meters altitude. The lake eerie color and smoke wafting from bright yellow sulfur deposits create the landscape desolate, barren and vibrantly alive. Watching miners descending into the crater and finding them re-emerge carrying up to 80 kilos of ore on bamboo baskets along the treacherous path is a breathtaking reality. Afterward walk down the mountain, then back drive to hotel.

After refreshment at hotel, we check out from hotel and drive to Ketapang harbor, and then continue the trip to Bali crossing the strait by a public ferry to Gilimanuk harbor. In the afternoon arrive at Gilimanuk harbor-Bali and then we directly transfer to your hotel in Munduk for overnight.(Note: Please be prepared on a long trip from Ijen to Bali. It takes about 06 hrs but it is subject to road traffic and waiting time for crossing the strait with ferry).

Day 10:  Munduk – Ubud  [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel

After breakfast, sightseeing transfer to Ubud. From the hotel we past the stunning view to the twin lakes Tamblingan and Buyan, and then we drive via Bedugul – an attractive mountain resort located 850 m above sea level. Here we stop at the UlunDanu temple, dedicated to DewiDanu the goddess of the waters, on the LakeBeratan. Then short stop at a local CandiKuning market strolling local fruits, vegetable, flowers and local spices, before continue the trip continues through breathtaking valleys of rice paddies near Jatiluwih. It has been recently nominated as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is a man-made wonder of boundless rice terraces flanked by the mountains.

A visit to Pura Luhur Batukaru temple, in dense jungle near the peak of GunungBatukaru will also be included before continuing our trip to Ubud. This ancient temple complex has a number of separate sanctuaries joined by damp mountain paths, bubbling spring and a large rectangular lake with a shrine in its midst. Follow the road; we enter Ubudthe cultural heart of Bali with many fine art galleries, and a home to a score of local and foreign artists. Upon arrive; proceed to your hotel for overnight. Lunch and dinner at own arrangement.

Day 11:  Ubud – Departure  [B/-/-]

Breakfast at hotel. Morning is free at leisure, until check out time policy at hotel (12:00 hrs). At the appropriate time, we pick you up for departure transfer to the airport for your onward flight to your next destination.
