ITINERARY

Day 1: Denpasar – Makasar [-/-/D]

On the firsy day of makasar toraja tour, our asian explore guide will pick you up from the hotel in the South of Bali for transfer out to the airport to catch up the afternoon flight to Makassar. (Flight ticket available separately). Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, meet and greets by our local guide and escort you to the hotel in Makassar for check-in.

Day 2: Makassar – Bira [B/L/D]

After breakfast at hotel, we pick you up for short Makassar City tour visit to Port Rotterdam which also the house the Lagaligo Museum, this Museum consists of two buildings, one housing Ethnology and one for the other history. On to Paotere the old harbor of Makassar, which is home to the handsome and world famous “Phinisi” or Bugis schooners. Afterward drive to Tanjung Bira via Bantaeng on the way we will stop to visit Boat Builders at Tana Beru to see how the Buginese make their famous Pinisi schooner. Lunch served en-route.

Day 3: Bira – Sengkang [B/L/D]

Breakfast at the Hotel. Set out to proceed to Watampone and Sengkang, on the way we will visit Andi Mappasisi Museum, to see the heirloom the Bugis Kingdom at Watampone. In the afternoon visit the silk weaving industries at Sengkang. Lunch served en-route. Dinner and accommodation at HOTEL BBC SENGKANG

Day 4: Sengkang – Toraja [B/L/D]

After breakfast at hotel, we visit Lake Tempe by traditional motorized canoe where we can see Floating houses and way of life of the Fisherman. Set out to Toraja, passing through on Buginese village, some stop en-route. Afternoon arrival in Rantepao-Toraja. Lunch is served at a local restaurant in Palopo. Dinner and accommodation at TORAJA HERITAGE

Day 5: Toraja Explore [B/L/D]

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day explore of the Toraja Highlands tours visiting Lemo to see the cliff displaying ancestral sculptures and the hanging graves. Continue to Londa, which has an ancient ceremonial burial place. Kete Kesu is a wonderful Toraja village where we see ‘Tongkonan’ houses and rice barns. It is famous for its woodcarving. Lunch serve en route.

Rest of the day is free at leisure. Dinner and accommodation at HERITAGE TORAJA

Day 6: Toraja Explore [B/L/D]

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we set out to continue toraja land tour on a trip to Batutumonga enjoying the magnificent views over Rantepao and surrounding valleys. Ideal for a walk along the rice fields and the daily Torajan live. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Afternoon also visit Pallawa, Sa’dan, known as the weaving center of Rantepao.

Day 7: Rantepao – Makassar – Departure [B/L/-]

Breakfast at the hotel. Early departure from Rantepao on the last day of toraja tour and transfer back to Makassar via Pare-pare. Stop at Pare-pare for lunch at local restaurant. Then we proceed directly to the airport for flight to your next destination.
