TOUR PROGRAM

This Bali day tour will start from your hotel, pick up by the legendary VW (Kuebelwagen) safari, which is a convertible, but can be closed if required. While driving through small villages, avoiding main road, you get a feeling of being in the middle of the Balinese daily life. (Photo stops are possible at any time, with or without leaving the car). This excursion will give you an insight of the daily routine of the villagers; you will see this unique island from totally different perspective. We take you to Pejaten, a village which is famous for the production of pottery and roof tile, as well as temple decorations in a traditional way. After observing the “Simple” task, you will be amazed to see how artistic the workers are. The tour continues on small roads through rice growing villages. Short walks are made, to explain the culture of rice growing and to show many spices tree (cacao, cloves, coffee and vanilla), which are growing on this island,  to Tambuwaras. Visit of a beautiful Temple.  Now, you drive up the slope of mount Batukaru, through a landscape of spectacular rice-terraces Jatiluwih, to restaurant, where a traditional Balinese lunch is served. After a relaxing meal, you start your way back to south Bali, and visit a Balinese compound, surprised how self-contained these families live. There is life stock, fruit trees, spices, rice houses etc. Within the walls to cover, the family daily needs. We will show you, how the coffee beans are processed, which the family picks from their own trees. You also have the opportunity to watch and to try, how to make the daily offerings, which Balinese offer to their gods every day. They either use the young palm leaves, or the lontar leaves which last for a long time. Upon reaching your hotel, you will have a completely new perspective of life in Bali.
